Vedic literature is the epitome of the highest human consciousness. It reflects at its finest, the intellectual understanding by man about the Universe. This smruti-shruti-sahitya has survived through the centuries in faith as the mystic relation of man and his Maker, which is beyond all the sciences and hence, beyond comprehension. The relevance of Vedic ideology is most profound in the current time as it is beyond caste and creed, beyond race and religion and also beyond time and space.
The omnipresent, omniscient and omnipotent Param Purusha is all pervading Reality. From Him has been created the space from where the air, fire, water, earth, vegetation and all beings and Purusha Himself along with the moon, Sun, the directions and bhu, bhuva, and svaha (earth, space and heaven respectively) have originated. The magnificent Parabrahma is ‘tatjalan’- tat +.ja +la +an, i.e. the cause of shrusti, samhara, sthiti and this is the Absolute Truth from where it is born (ja) and it goes back (laya) to the original source.
The all pervading One makes His presence felt like a thread in a garland of gems. He encompasses the Universe and its activities with His Tripada, Triguna, Trideva, Triakshara and all, All this is the Absolute Reality.
He keeps the flames of the sacrificial alter (vedi) burning forever, season after season, and again from this flame, in divine presence of mantras, emerges Yagnapurusha who Himself is Brahma, Rudra, Visnu, Indra, Shia…so on and so forth. He is the Akshara, a non-perishable entity, the Purusha, without the beginning and without the end. From His eternal sacrifices emerge the living and non-living, movable and non-movable elements of the Universe. This imaginary sacrifice itself is the Celebration of Universal existence.
