Ganpati Atharvashirsha

The Hindu thought process has an arrangement whereby one seeks blessings in the form of prayer for various purposes. Numerous deities have been assigned various duties in the pantheon of Hindu Gods and Goddesses. As Prathamesha, Ganapati, the second son of Shiva – The Absolute and Uma – The cause of all beings is venerated at the beginning of all actions. His form represents the macro and the micro. He is an embodiment of Aumkar, a-u-m, shrusti-sthiti-samhara, Brahma- Vishnu and Rudra respectively. Embellished with gnyaana and vignyaana, Vighnaharta Ganesa encompasses in Himself the 5 elements Earth, Water, Fire, Air and Ether. An absolute One, He is beyond the human mind to comprehend.
